Computer Illiterate Woman sued for Piracy
Marie Lindor, a home health aide who has never bought, used, or even turned on a computer in her life, was sued for thousands of dollars by RIAA over file-sharing and illegal downloading of music.
"Ms Lindor has not only never 'downloaded, distributed or made available for distribution' any files, but has never purchased, used or even turned on a computer in her life," her lawyers wrote in a letter to Judge David Trager.
Earlier, an old man was sued for copyright infringement after his 12 year old grandson downloaded movies over the Internet file-sharing service iMesh.
Nick Farrell writes that the RIAA seems to have adopted a "sue everyone policy " in its cunning plan to stop file sharers.
