A recent software report funded by Google, Sun and Lenovo has strongly criticized some very popular software programs like Kazaa file sharing and Waterfalls screensaver for deceiving internet consumers.
Kazaa - The group found that Kazaa does not completely remove all components during the uninstall process and makes undisclosed modifications to other software. link
Living Waterfalls 3 Screensaver - This popular 3D screensaver installs a Trojan horse-like program, and modifies other software without disclosure. link
The group, started by researchers from Harvard and Oxford universities, also named a video download manager distributed by Movieland.com and a spyware removal program from SpyAxe.com.
