Google may discontinue serving Google Related Links on Premium Websites without notice

Google Related Links, released a couple of days back, requires Website owners and bloggers to contact Google if their site receives more than 10,000 page views per day (premium website).

Since Digital Inspiration falls in the 10K+ hits per day category, we contacted the Google Related Links team for details. The Google Labs team almost immediately responded asking the approximate number of page views and the other URLs where we would like the Related Links to be placed.

We supplied Google with the requested details but the next email from Google Labs was highly unexpected. The Google email says:

We aren't able to support publishers receiving over roughly 10,000 pageviews per day across their sites. Specifically, if your network of sites receives over this amount of traffic daily, we may discontinue serving related searches, news, and links to your units without notice.

Should this occur, unfortunately it won't be possible to easily reactivate the units. I'd therefore strongly recommend that you implement the units on your sites in such a way that the combined maximum page views doesn't exceed 10,000 daily.
Why didn't Google put this information on the Google Related Links FAQ website ? Anyway, we are certainly not implementing the Link Units across our website pages but may use them as Adsense Alternate Units.
